Game Day Information

Game Day

-         Contestants will need to be in Bloomington ready to receive the address for the location by 8:00am the morning of the first day. There will be two different camp sites. Site A is where the main game will take place. Site B will be where production stays. We will be meeting at Site B where cars will be parked. From there, contestants will be given their game bags to put their game items in. Then we will all ride over to Site A with production members to start the game. Once voted out, contestants will utilize production members to return to their cars at Site B.

- The location for this year’s game is about 13 minutes south of Campus, so travel to and from Location will be very easy and safe. In the case of severe weather, we will have the option to retreat to a secure barn on location.

-         Contestants will only be allowed to bring one bag to camp with them. This bag should be reserved for necessary items ONLY (such as head lamps, rain gear, hygiene products, personal items). Everything else MUST be kept in your cars (if you don’t have a car to store your belongings, let me know and we will store them in a locked barn on location). Contestants will park their cars at at Site B, which is 4 minutes away from Site A where the main game will take place. We are doing it this way in order to make clean-up easier at the end of the event, so only NECESSARY items are to enter the woodland area where the teams will be camping.

- Snacks (not meals) ARE allowed in our game, but you must be able to fit them in your game bag to bring them back to camp with you.

-         If you want to train physically for the game, we recommend training in cardio and shoulder strength. Return to the previous page and click the “Workout Recommendations” button for more specifics. Surviving Bloomington does NOT have swimming challenges of any kind.

-         We have plans to record the 2024 game, so keep that in mind when deciding if you want to play or not. If you play, you are consenting to having a “Youtube Series” made with the content from the weekend. We will, of course, respect everyone’s privacy, and our goal will NEVER be to embarrass anyone. But you will likely be on screen, especially if you make it far in the game.

Please check this page at least once a month, as this information will likely evolve overtime.

However, if important changes happen, we will make every effort to let contestants know on an individual basis
